Thankfully, many of the loan modification scam companies have been shut down. Most of those characters were ex mortgage originators or real estate agents. Some were even attorneys. They may not have had the intention to take folks money. What I mean is this; loan mods are a new thing for the most part. They may have diligently tried to get the job done, but just didn’t have the right formula down.
