These recommendations are intended to avoid technical problems in the submission of your abstract. We will do our best to correct any problems arising, but please be aware that in some cases, we may have to return the registration form or the abstract to the author for correction.

To avoid having your abstract rejected, please respect the above guidelines.

Authors will be notified via e-mail within 72 hours of receipt of their submission. If you have not received confirmation within that time, please contact the Conference Secretariat.

The abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Programme Committee and the corresponding author will be notified by 30 April 2005 whether the contribution is accepted for presentation at the conference.

Should you be unable to submit your abstract electronically and/or in *.pdf format, please contact the EPS Conference Secretariat.

Directives for the electronic submission:

1. Creation of an account in order to log on.
This account can then be used for all further abstracts you may register.
Type in a chosen username, your name and full coordinates. The person who registers will be considered as the “corresponding author” and all further correspondence will only be sent to him/her. The corresponding author will receive an email confirming the chosen username and a password in order to be able to log on and send online his/herabstract and all future submissions.

2. Log on with your username and password.

3. Add an abstracts (also to be used for the first submission of a abstract).
Please type in the title of the abstract, the symposium area, the type of presentation chosen (oral / poster / poster if oral not accepted). Include your 200-word abstract pdf file. Submit data.

4. Authors’ list
Submit all the authors’ information and add as many authors as required.
The corresponding author is entirely responsible for entering the full and correct list of all the authors. EPS will not make any change.
The corresponding author is automatically entered as the first author. This can be modified (green mark).

The corresponding author is authorized to bring any change (200-word abstract, list of authors) until the 27 February 2005. After that deadline the review process will begin and no change can any longer be brought.

These recommendations are intended to avoid technical problems in the transferral of your abstract to the conference digest. Failure to follow these recommendations may result in abstracts being returned to authors. Please note that the EPS will not manipulate or edit abstracts.
The summary will be reduced and published in the Abstract Booklet. No additional manuscript will be required. Since contributed abstracts are selected on the basis of the summary, it should convey the original results in a succinct manner rather than describe the research symposia.

Any of the following conditions may result in rejection of an abstract:
- failure to submit the abstract by the deadline date
- failure to complete the required fields on the web based submission form
- failure to send the copyright form.

Notes:
The given password can be changed: Go to “My profile” and click on “Edit”, change your password and then click on “Submit data”.
