A4 (210 mm x 297 mm); material formatted for 8”x 11”
paper will be converted to A4
Margins:
left and right = 20 mm, top = 37 mm, bottom = 19 mm
Fonts:
10 pt Times (roman, bold or italic) fonts (cf. example below)
for the title
use 14 pt Times bold letters, centred on the page
list author’s names and affiliation in 10 pt Times italic,
centred on the page
relate authors and their affiliations by superscript numbers (cf.
example below)
write the text, left adjusted, with 10 pt Times roman fonts.
Cite references
at the end of the page, by use of superscript letters (maximum of
two) and avoid footnotes

These recommendations are intended to avoid
technical problems in the submission of your abstract. We will do
our best to correct any problems arising, but please be aware that
in some cases, we may have to return the registration form or the
abstract to the author for correction.
To avoid having your abstract rejected, please
respect the above guidelines.
Authors will be notified via e-mail within 72
hours of receipt of their submission. If you have not received confirmation
within that time, please contact the Conference Secretariat.
The abstracts will be reviewed by members
of the Programme Committee and the corresponding author will be
notified by 30 April 2005
whether the contribution is accepted for presentation at the conference.
Should you be unable to submit your abstract
electronically and/or in *.pdf format, please contact the EPS Conference
Secretariat.
Directives for the electronic submission:
This account can then be used for all further
abstracts you may register.
Type in a chosen username, your name and full coordinates. The person
who registers will be considered as the “corresponding author”
and all further correspondence will only be sent to him/her. The
corresponding author will receive an email confirming the chosen
username and a password in order to be able to log on and send online
his/herabstract and all future submissions.
Please type in the title of the abstract,
the symposium area, the type of presentation chosen (oral / poster
/ poster if oral not accepted). Include your 200-word abstract pdf
file. Submit data.
Submit all the authors’ information and add as many authors
as required.
The corresponding author is entirely responsible for entering the
full and correct list of all the authors. EPS will not make any
change.
The corresponding author is automatically entered as the first author.
This can be modified (green mark).
The corresponding author is authorized to bring
any change (200-word abstract, list of authors) until the . After that deadline the review process will
begin and no change can any longer be brought.
These recommendations are intended to avoid technical
problems in the transferral of your abstract
to the conference digest. Failure to follow these recommendations
may result in abstracts being returned
to authors. Please note that the EPS will not manipulate or edit
abstracts.
The summary will be reduced and published in the Abstract Booklet.
No additional manuscript will be required. Since contributed abstracts
are selected on the basis of the summary, it should convey the original
results in a succinct manner rather than describe the research symposia.
Any of the following conditions may result in
rejection of an abstract:
- failure to submit the abstract
by the deadline date
- failure to complete the required fields on the web based submission
form
- failure to send the copyright form.

The date and time for presentation will be determined
after the programme committee has reviewed the abstracts.
Authors will be notified whether their abstracts
have been accepted by 7 March 2005. Notification will be sent to
the corresponding author as listed on the electronic submission
form.
